I’m still stitching, and have made it to the top of the water bottle holder so I have begun the strap. I’ve been getting a lot of use out of my green one, and some compliments, too. It’s a great little piece that checks the crocheting box, works up quickly and ends up being a useful item, once complete.
Here’s a photo of the green one finished (isn’t it cute!??!?)

If you look closely you can see that the stitch pattern differs slightly between the two patterns. I’ll write out the specific pattern in the next day or so and post here, but basically the green one is a multiple of 3 stitches: dc, dc, ch1, sk1 (repeat around, joining with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning ch 3).
The white one with black speckles has the same base, ending in 36 stitches in the round and then proceeds similarly but with a *dc, ch 1, sk 1* around.
Both patterns work up quickly and into a nice item to use, give, or just practice our crocheting skills!
Here’s to another good day, filled with knitting and crochet, and in the month of May!
Happy stitching!
