Well, I had planned to work on my red and gray wool wrap this morning, but as I juggled my music bag, purse, coffee and bagel; I only had a pinky finger to grab one more thing. So here we are with my kaleidoscope shawl - which I like to call my Bourbon Street shawl, since I bought the yarn in New Orleans at The Quarter Stitch in the French Quarter, last year.
This morning’s (minor) challenges help remind me of the importance in having several works in progress (WIP’s) so that I always have an option or two.
Today I am thinking about my great-grandmothers (I knew a couple in person!), my grandmothers (especially the one that taught me how to crochet), and my mother (who taught me to sew). I am also thinking of my sister, and our children, as well as my grandchildren and nephew.
As a family we’ve had our share of trials and tribulations, but at the end of the day, we’re truly blessed.
Wishing all who stop by and read this blog post a Happy Mother’s Day, AND an abundance of opportunities throughout the year to pause and count your blessings.
